February 20- Great Louisiana Pride Week
Mayor Stephen Taylor, La. Redbud Assoc., and the Vivian Chamber of Commerce, ask you to take this week to clean up your yard and surroundings.
February 25- Redbud Children's Pageant
Sponsored by the La. Redbud Festival Assoc. Crowns awarded to top winners, trophies awarded to everyone. Newborn-12 years of age. Entry fee $20 plus $5 for photographic judging. Boy participants will be accepted in categories 0-6 years only. Sunday dress in all divisions. Vivian Elem/Middle School. 10 a.m. Admission: $4 adult, $2 children. Call Krystal 318-426-6921

March 4- Miss Redbud Pageant
Sponsored by the La. Redbud Festival Assoc. Participants who live within a 20 mile radius of Vivian will vie for the title of 'Miss Redbud 2006' Pageant is for girls 13-18 years of age. March 10- Redbud Jamboree

March 13-18- KNCB Treasure Hunt
Sponsored by North Caddo Broadcasting company. Clues will start at 6 a.m. and will be given once each hour on radio station 1320 AM/105.3 FM. Treasure is worth $300. If you find the treasure and have a Redbud Treasure Card, you will receive $50 extra. If you have a newly designed La. Redbud Festival t-shirt, you will recieve and extra $100. You can win a total of $450! Good luck!!!
March 15-18 - Miller Spectacular Carnival
Open Wed. 6 p.m., Thurs. 6 p.m., Fri. 5:30 p.m., Sat. Noon. Located on the lot next to the Country Inn Motel, HWY 1 South.
March 16- Redbud Pet Contest

March 17- Methodist Youth Bar-b-que

March 18- REDBUD DAY!!!
Redbud 5K Run & Health Walk
Sponsored by the La. Redbud Assoc. 10th annual event. USATF Certified. Age divisions, male & female: 9 and under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60 & over. Registration is $15 in advance, $18 after March 13th. Run will start at the Vivian United Methodist Church and will end at City Hall. Awards given for 1st & 2nd overall and three deep in age categories. 8 a.m. Call James 318-375-2492.
Kawanis Pancake Breakfast
Sponsored by the Vivian Kawanis Club. Pancakes, sausage and all the trimmings have attracted hundreds of people for over 25 years to this famous event. Held at the Kawanis Hut in the Vivian City Park. 7 a.m. - 9 a.m. Adults $4, children under 12, $2. Call Cherry 318-284-3337.

PKD Fundraiser:
Antiques, collectables, quilts, cakes, art, and crafts can be donated in advance to 311 W. Mary, Vivian, LA. Items will be sold on the corner by North Caddo Drug Store to aid in PKD research.

Entertainment:

Redbud Parade
